Tuition & Scholarships

Parents of high school students will be pleased to know that College Challenge coordinators have worked with participating high schools and Indiana State University to make college education more affordable for students. By reducing tuition rates and creating scholarship opportunities, we hope that the College Challenge program allows more students to experience the challenges of a college curriculum before graduating high school.

Tuition & Fees

We understand that saving money on college education is an important concern for parents everywhere. That is why students and their parents receive a significantly reduced tuition rate at a fraction of the cost of regular on-campus courses when they enroll in College Challenge courses. While regular on-campus courses can run upwards of $304 per credit hour, College Challenge courses cost just $25 per credit hour.

  • The current fee rate is $25 per credit hour or $75-$100 per course.
  • Fees are payable by Visa, MasterCard, check, or money order.
  • Checks and money orders should be made payable to Indiana State University.

Students eligible for the free/reduced lunch program are eligible for a waiver of all tuition and fees for College Challenge courses. The College Challenge Program fees are NOT waived for 21st Century Scholars, unless the high school designee confirms in writing that the student is eligible for free/reduced lunch. The student' high school counselor must supply the necessary documentation of the student' eligibility for the free/reduced lunch program.

College Challenge tuition is due in full by the payment deadline indicated on the student bill. If tuition is not paid in full by the stated deadline, the student will be administratively withdrawn from the College Challenge course. Late payments will not be accepted. Postmark date will NOT be used to determine the date payment is received. Tuition payments should be mailed to the following address:
